Kiku Matsuri Chrysanthemum Festival

12:00pm - 3:00pm - Fall Festival (FREE, Open to the Public)
Vendors, public raku pottery firings, art exhibits and more Japanese culture.  Also, see the Origami Horse made from 1,000+ hand-folded origami horses.  Bring your own folded horses to contribute - help us set a world record!

Private Tea Ceremony and Raku Firing

Enjoy a Fall tea ceremony and private raku firing - take home a raku vase and Chrysanthemum as a gift.

  • 1000 Origami Horses- help set a world record by folding horse at home, work, or school
  • The horse sin Japanese Art and Culture Display
  • Horse-Inspired Japanese Pottery and Sculpture
  • Perfect for student groups



Public Raku Pottery Firings

  • October 9, 12:00pm
  • Learn about traditional Japanese pottery and see live demonstrations. 
  • The Garden includes a traditional kiln.

 

Film Showing Under the Stars:

  • Akira Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress
  • Friday October 8, 8:00pm
  • Bring a blanket, chair or flashlight if you like.
  • Popcorn will be sold
