Did you know that 90% of the world's bourbon is distilled in Kentucky?  Did you know that Kentucky Derby winner, Japanese-owned Fusaichi Pegasus, lives near Lexington at Ashford Stud Horse Farm?

JASK has partnered with JTB Travel to bring you and your kids to two bourbon distilleries (Four Roses, Woodford Reserve) and to Ashford Stud in just one day.  Japanese will be spoken on the bus for our Japanese members.  The bus will pick up passengers at Northern Kentucky University and then at the Candlewood Suites in North Lexington.

Many Japanese and even Americans living in Kentucky have never experienced Kentucky's heritage so richly.  Tours in Japanese and English will be given at all three sites.  We will stop for lunch from Smokin Jax barbecue along the way.  The tour is designed to be kid-friendly and is open to the public - so come with your family and friends!

Join us on the bus or drive on your own for this historic tour to local distilleries and to see Fusaichi Pegasus.  Learn the insiders' story about distilling and breeding, two native Kentucky industries with remarkable global reach.

    バスはシンシナティから出発し、レキシントンはサークル4北(場所は下記の地図でご確認ください)のキャンドルウッドスイーツでバスに乗ります。

    Japan/Kentucky Business Summit

Join us at our third Business Summit to "think big" about the future of the Japan/Kentucky trade relationship.

What can Kentuckians do to strengthen our business connection with our Japanese friends?

This year, New York Times journalist: Micki Maynard, brings to the Summit sharp insights about trade with Japan and foreign investment in the U.S..

Jim Navolio, a veteran of Japan/Kentucky trade and Kentucky's Commissioner for Business Development, will update us on Kentucky's efforts to keep up our Japan connection.

We will take time to discuss the Japan/Kentucky connection with our speakers and with each other.

The program will be held in Louisville and in Lexington.

We will share further details as they are finalized.

    The Stephen Foster Musical

Stephen Foster wrote some of America's favorite songs, including Kentucky's State song: My Old Kentucky Home.  Foster's songs were included in the Japanese education system for years because of their cultural significance.

Near Foster's home in Bardstown, an outdoor musical production is performed every Summer to celebrate his life and contributions to American folk music.

JASK members will have a light dinner with their families and see the Stephen Foster Musical together on June 12, Saturday.

Transportation from Lexington and other cities will be available by request.

Don't miss this unique JASK event and special Kentucky experience.
