Matsumoto Baisho is a renowned master of both Akita and Tsugaru Shamisen as well as other styles of folk music. With more than 35 years performing throughout Japan and the world in countries such as Belgium, France, and the United States Matsumoto Baisho is a truly skilled performer. His most notably performance was the "Soul of Japan" Shamisen Concert held at Jubilee Hall in march 2010 and organized by the Japan Creative Centre, Embassy of Japan.


Tim Lake is a singer-songwriter, composer, performer, and teacher who was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in Lexington, KY. Playing banjo and guitar for over 20 years, has released ten albums of original songs, and has performed internationally and across the United States with his group "The Little Big Band".
